Three Party Builds That Carried Me Through Ashwarden Tactics
The hardest part of Ashwarden Tactics isn't any single fight, it's deciding who to level and how. I restarted twice before I found combinations that actually clicked, so I'm sharing the three that got me through.
The first is the classic frost-and-fire setup. Your ice mage slows a cluster of enemies, then your fire mage drops an area spell on the frozen group for bonus damage. It's reliable and it scales well into the midgame.
If you prefer survivability, try a bruiser core: two melee fighters with a dedicated healer tucked safely behind them. It's slower and less flashy, but it almost never falls apart, which matters on the harder story missions.
My personal favorite is the mobility build, leaning on a scout who can reposition every turn. It takes practice because you're constantly repositioning, but once you learn the maps you can pick off key enemies before they ever act.
Whatever you choose, respec early and often. The game lets you reshuffle skill points cheaply in the first act, so experiment while it's forgiving.
