About
Peridot Play started as a group chat where a few of us swapped tips about the games we were grinding on the train to work. At some point the messages got too long and too useful to lose, so we turned them into a proper site. Everything here comes from actual sessions on real devices, not press kits.
We cover a wide range of genres on purpose. One week it's a slow builder sim, the next it's a twitchy racer or a sprawling RPG. We think a good guide should help whether you're a total beginner or someone chasing the last achievement, so we try to write for both.
Games get picked in a simple way. Someone on the team plays something long enough to have a real opinion, then we discuss it and decide if it's worth a full write-up. If a game bores us after an hour, we usually say so instead of pretending.
We're a small independent crew, not tied to any studio. That means we can be honest about the stuff that annoys us, and generous about the stuff we love. If a game respects your time, we'll tell you.
